Privacy notice

This notice explains how I use the personal information you share with me through this website. It covers the website and enquiries made through it.

Who I am

I am Rebecca Rodgers, a psychodynamic counsellor practising as Rebecca Rodgers Counselling in Holcombe, near Bath. I am responsible for the personal information described here. You can contact me about it at rebecca.rodgers.counselling@outlook.com or on 07935 940827.

What I collect through this website

If you use the contact form, I receive your name, your email address, your phone number if you choose to give it, and your message.

Your message may include information about your health or circumstances. Please share only what you feel comfortable sharing. You are also welcome to email or phone me instead.

When the form is sent, the website also uses your IP address to stop spam and repeated automated messages. I do not use it for anything else.

If you agree to analytics cookies, Google Analytics records how the website is used: the pages visited, the type of device and browser, the approximate area you are in, and whether my phone number or email address is clicked or the contact form is sent. It does not record what you write in the form.

How I use it

I use the details you send me only to reply to your enquiry and, if you wish, to arrange initial consultation sessions. I do not use them for marketing, and I never sell or share them for anyone else's marketing.

I use Google Analytics figures only to understand how many people visit the website and which pages are useful to them.

Who else handles it

A small number of providers handle your information on my behalf, only so that the website and my email work:

• CreateTheWeb, who built and host this website and its content system. Messages sent through the form are stored there and emailed to me.
• CreateTheWeb's email sending service, which delivers the form's messages to my inbox.
• Microsoft, who provide my email account (Outlook).
• Google, who provide Google Analytics, only if you agree to analytics cookies. Google may process this information outside the UK.

Cookies

This website uses one essential cookie, cookie_consent, to remember your cookie choice for six months.

With your agreement, it also uses Google Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_ followed by a code) to count visits. They are only set if you choose Accept in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page, and choosing Reject removes them.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information I hold about you, and to ask me to correct it, delete it, or restrict or object to how I use it. To make a request, contact me using the details above.

If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, please tell me first so I can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this notice

If I change this notice, the date at the top will change with it.
